What is the UX Teardown Challenge?

If you’re a Design Enthusiast looking to transition into UI/UX roles, the UX Teardown Challenge is the platform for you!

As part of the challenge, you’ll get to play the part of a UX Designer to teardown Masters’ Union’s website and work to provide innovative solutions to the problem statement presented.

Showcase your learnings, present your observations & stand a chance to get hired as a UX Designer at Masters’ Union along with prizes from Apple for the top 3 winners!

Who Can Participate?

Professionals with up to 3
years of experience

Final year students in UG or PG
courses

Artists, Developers, & Creatives
looking to transition into UI/UX
job roles

Teardown Timelines

  • Phase 1

    Registration

    Register for the UX Teardown Challenge.

  • Phase 2

    UX Teardown

    The detailed problem statement will be revealed to the registered participants on 30th September & they’ll be required to submit their teardown by 3rd October.

  • Phase 3

    Shortlisting

    On the basis of their teardown, participants will be shortlisted and receive an intimation to move on to the next stage on 4th October.

  • Phase 4

    Winner Announcement

    The top 10 shortlisted participants will present their teardown over Zoom, on 6th October, directly to the judges after which the winners will be announced!

    The top 3 winners will further be interviewed by the founders of Onething Design & Masters’ Union with a chance to get hired as a UX Designer.

Our Judging Criteria

While we encourage you to take full liberty to approach the problem statement the way you see it, there are certain guiding principles that we would be looking at:

  • Understanding of the problem statement

  • Quality, feasibility, and depth of the solutions

  • Questions and insights generated from primary user research

  • Empathy for the users while designing the solutions

  • Quality of high/low fidelity wireframes
